2024 Play for Easton Memorial Tournament

April 8th, 2024

The Play for Easton Memorial Tournament was created last year in memory of Easton Root who lost his life in 2022 (age 9) following complications with liver disease. Easton loved playing baseball in Bryan-College Station and had an unmatched kind heart and love for the sport. Their mission is to provide assistance, scholarships, and support to break down financial barriers and allow every child to experience the joy of team sports.

Last year’s turnout was extraordinary, through the celebration of Easton Root’s life and the game of baseball. Over $11,000 was raised for the foundation to give back to the local community

Danielle Laurel, Internal Event Coordinator for Travis Fields, was able to be a part of this remarkable event.

"Last year's play for Easton Memorial Tournament was unforgettable, not only for the companies involved but also for the foundation that hosted it. It was amazing to see the community come together and celebrate Easton’s legacy." – Danielle Laurel

Join us in honoring Easton Root at the second annual Play for Easton Memorial Tournament on May 11th & 12th. All proceeds will go to supporting the Play for Easton Foundation. This tournament allows the community to honor Easton, a remarkable individual, and promote the values of sportsmanship and inclusion. Proceeds from the tournament will support Play for Easton's initiatives, ensuring that more children can play sports and build valuable life skills.
