Travis Fields to Host Australian All Star Team

The Australian Region Babe Ruth League All Star team is set to arrive in Bryan this July in preparations for the Cal Ripken World Series.
The all-star team selected from the best Australian talent playing at the Down Under Winter Classic on the Gold Coast Australia will come and compete against some of the best local and state-wide talent Texas has to offer. Travis Fields at Bryan Midtown Park will play host to the invitational 12U baseball tournament July 29-31.
This twelve-team event will play host to some of the best teams from around the region and serve as a key warm up event for the Australians. RCI Sports Management Solutions, managers of Travis Fields are super excited to bring international teams to the region.
“It is always exciting to get top tier teams together to play in an event, but this brings a whole new level to the region. The Australian team is the first of many international teams we look to bring out to Bryan as we expand this event.” RCI Director of Operations, Scott Hillier said.
“This team will not only be here to play in the event but use it as a key training period also which will extend their stay out to about 5 nights total really driving the economic benefits for the local community.”
OZ-Ball tournaments co-founder Kevin Fenn is eager to bring this team to the US. “Oz Ball Tournaments and Cal Ripken League Australia is looking forward to developing a long-term relationship with Travis Fields.”

The inaugural Summer Slam event is due to be launched publicly for registration in the coming weeks. This tournament will see a variety of skills competitions, including a home run derby sponsored by D-BAT Aggieland. Along with this, the atmosphere Travis Fields has begun to foster is one for the entire family to enjoy with yard games, great concessions, and a playground in the complex.
