Hot Dogs and Baseball, Little League is Back

March, 14 2022

It’s that time of year again, the sun is shining, the hot dogs are cooking, it’s Little League baseball time here at Travis Fields are Bryan Midtown Park.

Bryan United Little League is set to kick off their spring 2022 season with opening ceremonies on April 9th. Through a partnership with RCI Sports Management Solutions, Bryan United Little League will have access to Travis Fields for the entirety of their Spring season at no cost.

At the opening weekend, Bryan United will hold a hamburger plate fundraiser to help with critical league items. These funds will be utilized towards player sponsorships, jerseys, and additional costs of the league such as equipment.

The league currently has 260 athletes registered for the 2022 spring season, with hopes of maxing out their enrolment. One factor that will help this cause, is the fact that Bryan United will utilize the brand-new Travis Fields for the entirety of their season including practices and games.

These fields are one of the nicest Little League fields in the entire city, possibly the entire district. Fully turfed fields will help eliminate game delays due to poor weather and will guarantee that practices can continue through poorer weather, which helps player development throughout the season.

Many of these kids have not been given the opportunity to play Little League baseball in several years, due to the pandemic, and are eager to get back out there to make endless memories and everlasting friendships this spring.

According to league president, David Cockroft, “I’m most looking forward to seeing all of those smiling faces out there on opening day, eager to play ball.”
