Travis Fields Announces Action-Packed Spring Tournament Season

12 December, 2022

Travis Fields is set to host 20 events over 37 days of weekend action this upcoming Spring between baseball, softball, and kickball tournaments.

2022 was a very successful first year of operation accumulating over $5 million in economic impact for the region. The response and desire for tournaments and teams to come back to Bryan Midtown Park has been exceptional with many inking multi-year agreements at the park. Commencing February 4th with College Station High School hosting a pre-season scrimmage tournament, the park will be full every weekend except for Easter right through until the end of June.

Director of Operations Scott Hillier is excited to welcome back tournament directors and also looking forward to showcasing the park to the new tournaments for 2023.

“During 2022 we were able to showcase the park and provide an alternative tournament option to the teams around Texas. First impressions count and we are excited to welcome back these tournaments in 2023 and also host new directors amongst launching some of our RCI Sports branded events.”

Brennen Flores of Triple Crown Sports is launching a new format for his baseball tournament in May and chose Travis Fields to be an integral part of this new tournament.

“Triple Crown Sports is so excited to be in Bryan for 2023 for the first time with baseball tournaments. Fastpitch has been here for a while and always speaks so highly of the facilities, staff, and community. The positive response from teams wanting to come join us and spend the weekend in the area shows how highly they regard the facilities, lodging community, and local restaurants. We’re excited to see this event grow and help provide economic impact for years to come.” Said Flores.

RCI Sports, National Fastpitch Coaches Association, Triple Crown Sports, Prospect Wire Fastpitch, and USSSA highlight the weekend event organizers at Travis Fields. These events will draw teams from all around Texas and interstate with teams in 2022 coming from Colorado, California, Oklahoma, Arizona, and beyond.

All of the action in 2023 will be captured by PlaySight digital streaming which has four HD cameras on all fields live streaming the action and allowing for video-on-demand. The continued investment into Travis Fields is allowing Bryan Midtown Park to quickly become a premier destination for baseball and softball in the state.
