Toy Joy: Marine Corps League Toy Drive

Have you heard the news? Winter Wonderland presented by the George H.W. Bush Presidential Library & Museum is back for a second year. Join us Saturday, December 2nd from 11 am to 4 pm at Travis Fields for a free, family-friendly, and festive afternoon. 

 

We are fortunate to be partnering with The Brazos Valley Marine Corps League Detachment #1391 during Winter Wonderland. Their mission revolves around preserving the interest of the United States Marine Corps, unifying those who serve/have served in the United States Marine Corps, fostering ideals of patriotism and pride, and to perpetuate the history of the United States Marine Corps. Detachment #1391 focuses on providing services to local Marines and FMF Corpsmen and participating in events that are beneficial to our community. 

 

Every holiday season the Marine Corps League acquires donations of toys from organizations and stores in the Bryan-College Station community. At Winter Wonderland, Santa will be personally distributing these toys to children to showcase the Christmas spirit! Santa and the Marine Corps League will be located on field 1 for the duration of the event. Come meet Santa and receive an early Christmas gift.

 

To participate in the toy drive, you can visit the nearest PetSmart. If you donate $5, they will provide a plush toy for the cause. Be a part of this easy and spirited way to give back this holiday season!
