Travis Fields Are Ready To Play Ball
October 8, 2021
Travis Fields at Travis Bryan Midtown Park will begin hosting tournaments in early 2022.
After negotiations, RCI Sports Management Solutions (RCI) entered into an agreement with the City of Bryan to manage the newly renovated fields. As a long-time home of Little League Baseball in the region, Travis Fields received significant renovation to include synthetic turf fields, impressive grandstands and new batting cages. This upgrade will set the standard for the ever growing youth and recreational sporting tourism industry.
The City of Bryan representatives are excited for the vision and experience that RCI brings to the partnership.
“I am delighted that RCI will manage the newly renovated Travis Park Fields at Bryan Midtown Park for both local and regional youth baseball and softball players and families,” said City of Bryan Mayor Andrew Nelson. “I am confident that RCI will deliver outstanding customer service and cutting-edge techniques and technologies for tournaments and other events at our state-of-the-art facilities. The City of Bryan looks forward to re-opening these world-class baseball and softball fields with RCI.
“This incredible ballfield complex will become a hive of activity for baseball and softball, locally as well as statewide,” Nelson said. “With the adjoining facilities being planned and constructed in Midtown Park, the area will become a preferred destination for events, tournaments, games and practices.”
RCI searched the globe to find the Director of Operations, Scott Hillier. Hillier, a native of Australia, has many years of logistics, management and programming experience working for Baseball Australia and the Australian Baseball League and provides a wealth of knowledge to the project.
“We are very excited to partner with the City of Bryan to provide the community with a premiere baseball and softball facility. Fully synthetic turf fields, eight covered batting cages and brand-new concessions will attract teams from all over the state and provide a reliable playing environment for local teams.”
“RCI has received significant interest both locally and across the state and looks forward to bringing new business to Bryan and the surrounding Brazos Valley. With more than thirty tournaments, showcases and events yearly, the local businesses will truly benefit from the increased foot traffic.”
USSSA, NFCA, Five Tool Events, 5-Tool Baseball, Triple Crown Sports, Cowart Sports Events and National Championship Sports are just some of the organizations already scheduled to bring events to the ballpark.
