Travis Fields Hosts Bomber Shootout Elite

March 5, 2022

The 22nd year for the Texas Bomber Shootout, sees the 14U elite division call Travis Fields at Bryan Midtown Park home.

The event draws an impressive number of top-flight club programs looking to get dialled in for the season ahead. Triple Crown Sports has attracted 70 teams to the region from all over Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona and California. The event is a four game guarantee with an elimination bracket to start Sunday March 6th.

Impact Gold 8 Smith look to be one of the top teams for the weekend, taking three wins on the day including a 13-0 win for their biggest margin of the day. Whilst the Tucson Heat 08 all the way from Arizona and the California based Ohana Tigers have had some tough, tight battles with the top tier Texas based organizations.

RCI Director of Operations Scott Hillier was super excited to host this calibre of competition. “Any time we get to utilize these awesome fields as part of larger BCS events is exciting. But when the tournament responds by scheduling this calibre of teams at the ballpark just shows that premier facilities attract premier teams.”

Triple Crown Sports Major Event Director Jonathan Lampl had received great feedback from parents, players and coaches alike. “It’s a great honor to play at a facility like Travis Fields. We don’t always get an opportunity to play at a facility with all-turf fields of this quality.”

“The competition here is some of the best in the country and they deserve this type of environment.”

Sunday March 6th at 3pm will see the 14U Elite division championship game on the recently dedicated Linda Cornelius Field. The local community is invited to come and check out this top-level competition and enjoy the day.
